Links and reaction by blogger Adi Rajan to talk and resources on use of video for language teaching from British Council teacher Jamie Keddie.  I noticed a shift in ELT a while back from comprehension of language resources to production, mirroring the Web 1.0 to 2.0 move and encouraging more active and open-ended contributions from learners

Welcome to Lit2Go ETC

Welcome to Lit2Go ETC | Technology and language learning | Scoop.it
Welcome
"Lit2Go is a free online collection of stories and poems in Mp3 (audiobook) format. An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified. Each reading passage can also be downloaded as a PDF and printed for use as a read-along or as supplemental reading material for your classroom."

Shona Whyte:
Mostly American out-of-copyright classics aimed at native-speakers, but well put together for teachers (transcript, reading level, word count) so usable for intermediate-plus teen or adult learners.

Web tool fosters practice in speaking, listening in a foreign language
Dave Dodgson, who teaches English as a foreign language to elementary school students in Turkey, has students use the web based tool Wetoku to create split screen video interviews. In this blog post, Dodgson shares a project in which his students used the tool to record, present and archive an interview related to the study of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Twinvox

Twinvox | Technology and language learning | Scoop.it
Richard Garcia:
Here's a good site for those who care about speaking! Excellent service where people can share their communicative skills as native speakers of a language as they share a good time with someone else who is willing to learn that language through a videochat within the twinvox platform. Find peers and start sharing your skills and learning for free from someone else the language you want to learn. Good initiative, indeed!
