Spartan could be a game changer for microsoft.  I usually prefer Google Chrome because of its simplicity and fast loading time.  I don't need all the fancy rotating videos, pictures, and cooking tips when I boot up my PC.  Simplicity is the key to an efficient, error-free browser. If Spartan can match Chrome in the performance department, I might just switch.  Perhaps Windows 10 will be the answer to the rather dismal acceptance of Windows 8.0 and 8.1.  Aloha, Russ.
