The World’s Largest Repository of Free Online Learning Tutorials

The World’s Largest Repository of Free Online Learning Tutorials | Technology and Education Resources | Scoop.it

Here’s a common scenario. Someone emails and asks about an elearning tutorial I have on the blog. It’s not always easy to find the specific tutorial buried in a given post. In fact, there are many times I either forgot that I had created that tutorial or I can’t recall where it’s at either. I know. It’s part of getting older.

Today I am going to fix that. I have listed every blog post that has a video tutorial that shows how to create something related to online learning. So, if you’re just getting started with building online learning courses (or new to the blog), now you have a handy resource with links to all sorts of rapid elearning tutorials.

Today, no longer is having a high school diploma is enough to land a good job and support family. College is key today, but finding the funds to pay for it can be tricky. Brick and mortar institutions cost a fortune, and most have to work while going to school. But for those who can't juggle both, online learning can be a great option.

Struggling with educators lack of technology fluency

Struggling with educators lack of technology fluency | Technology and Education Resources | Scoop.it

It's 2012. Technology suffuses everything around us. The Internet and Internet browsers have been pretty mainstream for ===> at least a decade. <===

And yet, I continually run into significant numbers of educators who still don't know how to work their Internet browser. They struggle with copying and pasting. They get confused just clicking between 2 or 3 different browser tabs. They don't conceptually understand the difference between their browser's Google search box and the box where they can actually type in the URL and get there directly. They have no idea that they can right-click on things like hyperlinks or images. And so on… [And this is just the Internet browser. I'm not even talking about individual software programs or online tools.]

Convert Any Presentation Into a Talking Video in Your Preferred Language: SlideTalk.net

Anita Rissler's curator insight, April 2, 6:36 AM

Most of the tools cited here are easy to use and have user friendly interface and they will let you create your own e-magazine or newspaper in few simple steps. Yet I would recommend your discretion as you use them with your students.
