Creating stopmotion and timelapse videos can be a good way for students to tell a story that they have developed. Stopmtion and timelapse videos can also be helpful when teachers are trying to help students see how a lengthy process like osmosis works. While good stopmotion and timelapse videos can take a long time to create, there are some tools that can make the process a little easier. Here are three stopmtion video creation tools that are worth trying. Via Baiba Svenca, Melanie Hundley

In the great tradition of end of year blog posts, here's a feature on the top 10 video infographics of 2012.
Over the year, I’ve curated 222 videos on this site [videoinfographics.net], and reviewed hundreds more. As part of my process of watching and curating so many infographic videos, I started to keep my own 3-star ranking system of these videos in a spreadsheet to help me keep track of those that I think are the most outstanding. The result was about 60 3-star videos in 2012. That’s too many to feature in a top X list so I turned to the Likes and Comments of my top ranked videos (and in doing so eliminated videos only featured on YouTube since YouTube comments are pretty much trash). This resulted in a list of 10 videos that had triple digit Likes on their Vimeo pages. Voila! A top 10 list. So, in a ascending order, here are the top 10 most liked animated video infographics featured here in 2012, including number of Likes and Comments for each (as of December 30, 2012). Thanks for all of your comments and responses to my question. Perhaps the relative success of using Wibbitz depends upon the platform (if that's the right term!) upon which the web page rests. Interesting idea though.

This has got to be one of my favorite scoop it articles that I have come across yet! It was very interesting to see how far YouTube has come along since the year 2005 when the first official video was uploaded to YouTube. The article takes you through the years and the biggest achievements that YouTube has accomplished up to this present day. It also includes interesting facts about the Social Media network that I never knew about before, got me more interested in using YouTube and creating my own channel or even subscribing to others!

Planet Nutshell produces short animated videos to explain products, services, and concepts. One of their series of videos is all about the Internet and Internet safety for K-12 students. The series is called NetSafe and it has 17 episodes that were produced for the Utah Education Network. The videos are labeled with grade levels so that students in high school don't watch videos designed for K-3 students. Thefirst video in the series is an explanation of what the Internet is in terms that K-3 students can understand.
