"In Voionmaa high school we use Dropbox in many ways. Teachers have their own account for sharing files, some teachers also share files with each other. Every teacher has also iPad and Dropbox is a useful tool for iPad users. That is why also many of our students have accounts to share all videos and images from iPad image file."

I’m tempted to suggest that above all MOOCs should hang a sign that declares “abandon all quality measures”, because most of the ones we have developed for formal education don’t apply in MOOCs. We have developed a set of quality measures based on a specific relationship between the education provider and the student. Access to culturally and linguistically appropriate books is the largest barrier to world literacy. Libraries and Digital Resources can solve this if we Unite for Literacy!

The important questions that I believe we should be asking at this point are: What education-specific research will be beneficial to the field? What do we need to know? And how should we go about investigating what we need to know about? Systematic empirical research can (a) generate a deeper understanding of this phenomenon, (b) provide evidence to support or refute the claims surrounding MOOCs, and (c) help universities and MOOC providers enhance course offerings. Edmodo is one of the promising web technologies that is making a strong foothold in the field of education. It has been embraced by several school districts and is being widely used to host online classes and connect students with their teachers. For starters, it is clear that some districts were more open-minded entering their BYOT programs than others. The other big advantage of Scoop.it is that discussion is based around content, which can help to give the interaction more depth. It also helps user to escape much of the banality that appears on Twitter as it tends not to attract the celebrity or 'what I had for lunch' postings as it isn't principally about conversation, but as more of a focus on content sharing.
