The site is divided into three main sections;

   - U.S. History,

   - World History, and

   - World Religions

The Physics Classroom

The Physics Classroom is an online interactive tutorial of basic physics concepts. The lessons use an easy-to-understand language to present common physics principles discussed in physics courses.

The Physics Classroom provides access to...

- physics tutorials,

- Mind on Physics Internet Modules (1300+ questions designed to improve understanding of common physics topics),

- problem sets for practice,

- multimedia,

- animations (ideal for using on an interactive whiteboard or projector-connected PC)

- activity sheets,

- curriculum corner (pdf downloads),

- labs,

- photos, and more.

I suggest practitioners spend time exploring this site before recommending it to learners so they can help them navigate it.

There is a danger, because it is so information heavy, the Phusics Classroom could be a turn-off for learners who are just dropping in looking for something specific.

Be warned-:

-   the order in which users upload content is the order in which it they appear in the resulting Qwiki.

-   Voice recordings are limited to 20 seconds

Users can also record with their webcam and have a video of themself appear in their Qwiki.

Qwiki Creator is another tool for students to use to create short multimedia stories or short introductory narratives about topics that they're studying in their classes.

John Dalziel's insight:

Timeline JS is an open source timeline creation tool. Timeline JS supports inclusion of image and videos in the events on the timelines that practitioners, and/or learners create.
To create a timeline through Timeline JS users first create a Google Spreadsheet using a template provided. After creating the spreadsheet users publish it to the web and insert its URL into the Timeline JS generator. The last step is grabbing the embed code from Timeline JS and embedding the resulting timeline into a blog or website or other web presence.
