Cluster: Potential private spaces for practitioners and their learners to collaborate.

Cluster makes it possible to create private group spaces where you share photos and memories with the people you care about. Create a space with family, a group of friends, coworkers, people from your home town, or anyone else!
John Dalziel's insight:

For education...

Cluster – makes it possible to create private group spaces where...
   - learners can share photos with practitioners and/or other learners; or
   - practitioners can share photographs with learners.
Only invited members of the space can see what is posted and relevant notifications are sent so that users know when people you invite post new things to the created space.
Ideal for sharing images from...
   - field trips,
   - events, etc.,
or for...
   - portfolios,
   - collaborative work,
...and so much more.

Screenhero | Collaborative Screen Sharing

Screenhero | Collaborative Screen Sharing | technologies |
Simple, collaborative screen sharing. You each get your own mouse, and you're both always in control.
John Dalziel's insight:

Screenhero is a new one-to-one screen sharing service that offers the option for both parties (the sharer and the sharee) to use their mice to control an application.
By sharing screens through Screenhero any desktop application becomes a collaborative application.

The free version of Screenhero allows practitioners, and/or learners, to share their screen with each other.
My first thoughts...
- great for providing tech help remotely.
- a good tool for learners to use, when they're using an application that isn't collaborative, for a collaborative project. By sharing their screens through Screenhero both learners will be able to access and work on the same files.
- great for one-to-one tutorials, one-to-one support, online observations of skill applications...
...and the list goes on.

What Type of Learner Are You? [Infographic]

What Type of Learner Are You? [Infographic] | technologies |

As practitioners will already know, the way that one learner studies may differ from the way that a classmate does, because of their different styles of learning.

The four types are...

- visual learners,
- auditory learners,
- read and write learners, and
- kinesthetics learners.

Each function is clearly illustrated and explained in this infographic produced by

Learning suggestions, and which tests the learner types are likely to excel in better than others, are provided.

This is a helpful guide for...

- IAG Practitioners

- Learners

- Initial Teacher Training

- educators, especially those who are adamant that there is only one way to revise.

John Dalziel's insight:

In their words, "...helps to score well in exams and life through research-proven scientific techniques like Cornell Notes, Active Recall and timely revision of study notes."
Classmint lets anyone create interactive, audible, annotatable and creative study notes that can be folded like paper. It also maintains automated revision list to aid in 'timely revision'.

MentorMob | technologies |

Learn What You Want, Teach What You Love...

There are lots of quality resources on the Internet but sometimes learners can spend a huge amount of time searching for it, searching and getting distracted by content that is not relevant to the task in hand.

MentorMob allows practitioners (and why not put learners into that role?) to focus their learner/peer’s attention by creating learning playlists of relevant content which can be enhanced by adding quizzes and comprehension exercises to test knowledge as they progress.

MentorMob playlists can be easily shared and embedded in blogs, a vle etc.-.
