Anchor - spark group conversations with a global audience

Anchor - spark group conversations with a global audience | technologies | Scoop.it
Anchor is an iPhone app that let's you share your voice with the world.
John Dalziel's insight:

Unusual for me to post without first hand experience but Anchor is a free iPhone app that makes it easy for users to broadcast short audio clips to a global audience in seconds.
Now for the big plus...
Their listeners can talk back, sparking instant group conversations that were never before possible.
When users are not recording, they can listen to authentic humour, knowledge, inspiration, and debate from Anchor’s global collective of users.

Must be worth trying - if I wasn't retired I'd be trying it out now!

SoundBoard

SoundBoard | technologies | Scoop.it
Do you or your learners edit audio clips for a presentation or a podcast?

Are you avoiding this because you would need to fire up bloated sound editors that you and/or learners don't know how to use?

If you must have some background music and or sound effects, then check out Soundboard a small 47KB download; a simple desktop application that lets you add multiple clips anywhere in a presentation and/or recorded audio track easily.

Users can...

* add up to 18 clips (wav audio files) to each scheme (6 schemes available) on Soundboard;
* set the volume for each clip;
* select play or loop;
* activate clips with the keyboard to quickly input the effects;
* change the colour scheme
* select a "normal" or "compact" view.

Educators Report "Flipped Classroom" Improves Test Scores

Educators Report "Flipped Classroom" Improves Test Scores | technologies | Scoop.it

I talked about the "flipped classroom", and the potential use of the model for CPD within Learning Providers, at our 2012 Annual Event in Southport.

Like any new methods/tools etc., learners need instruction & support as they are introduced into learning/teaching/cpd.

Yes time needs to be invested into producing resources to facilitate the "flipped classroom/cpd" but both return on investment and value on investment make it very worth while.
