Adobe Color CC

Adobe Color CC | technologies | Scoop.it

Create colour schemes with the colour wheel or browse thousands of colour combinations from the Colour community.

John Dalziel's insight:

Learners, and/or practitioners, can use this colour wheel to create a vast array of pallets from complementary and contrasting, shades and monochromatic or even their own custom look.
A great tool not just for finding the right tones but also to explore colours that visitors to the tool may not have thought to use.
Learners, and/or practitioners, can also create a pallet from an image with Adobe Colour Wheel.

Pictaculous - A Color Palette Generator (courtesy of MailChimp) | technologies | Scoop.it

Generate a colour palette from PNG, JPG or GIF image/photo. Receive colour suggestions, download Photoshop swatches (.ACO)

John Dalziel's insight:

This Colour pallet generator lets learners, and/or practitioners, upload an image to the website where the application will pick out the key colour details in the photo or picture.
This is a really great tool if you have a specific piece of art work or an item which you would love to use, for example, as a basis for a room design.

Simply...
   - take a picture of it and
   - upload to the Pictaculous website
