Doodlecast Pro

Get Doodlecast Pro on the App Store. See screenshots and ratings, and read customer reviews.
John Dalziel's insight:

Doodlecast Pro provides an easy way to create presentations on an iPad.
The app records a users voice as they draw to create quick presentations.
Doodlecast Pro saves videos to the camera roll making it easy to import them into popular video editors or presentation tools such as iMovie, Keynote, or iBooks Author.
Ideal for practitioners, learners and anyone needing an elegant way to share ideas.
Doodlecast Pro could help practitioners create and share videos for a
range of purposes:
• Prepare content to share with their learners; within flipped teaching models.
• Create video reports on specific topics.
• Provide feedback on visual designs, layouts, or charts.
• Annotate charts and graphs to present 'business cases' for projects and more.
• Capture mind maps and notes during brainstorming sessions.
• Create animated messages to send to learners, colleagues and other stakeholders.
NOTE: What many would consider a big plus, with Doodlecast Pro a users work stays in their hands. No account signup required and no ominous terms of service.
Doodlecast Pro also saves videos and images in standard formats making it easy to share or import into a variety of editing and presentation tools.

Snaplr App

Snaplr App | technologies | Scoop.it
John Dalziel's insight:

Vessenger, producers of a group messaging system, offers this free program for capturing and annotating images on your computer screen.

Snaplr, is available for Windows and Mac.

With Snaplr installed practitioners and/orlearners can capture all or part of their screen.

It's Snaplr's annotation tools that I like most of all.

They include...
- text boxes,
- highlighting, and
- free-hand drawing tools.

When users have finished creating their annotated screen capture they can save it as a PNG file or attach it to an email message in Outlook etc.

A big step forward from Windows Snipping Tool with lots of potential in producing evidence for assessment, and/or producing feedback to learners and/or enhancing collaborative work.

Explain and Send Screenshots

Explain and Send Screenshots | technologies | Scoop.it
Capture a webpage, write text, arrows and circles on it and share it with a direct link to the screenshot without a frame!
John Dalziel's insight:

Explain and Send is a free Chrome extension that, because I've got synchronization enabled, I have installed on all my browsers.

The extension allows me to quickly select all or a portion of my screen, draw on it, type on it, and share it.

After a screen capture has been created, users can share it via email, Twitter, or Facebook.
