Word Clouds :- Free online word cloud generator and tag cloud creator

Word Clouds :- Free online word cloud generator and tag cloud creator | technologies | is a free online word cloud generator and tag cloud generator, similar to Wordle. Create your own word clouds and tag clouds. Paste text or upload documents and select shape, colors and font to create your own word cloud. can also generate clickable word clouds with links (image map). Save or share the resulting image.
John Dalziel's insight:
A Fun Tool for Making Word Clouds in Fun Shapes
Word cloud generators, like this, still provide learners with a nice way to visualize the most frequently used words in a passage of text.
WordClouds allows users to create word clouds in a variety of shapes and sizes with a wide array of colour schemes. WordClouds works like other word cloud generators in that users need to provide the text.
This can be done in one of the following ways...
► Type or paste text
► Upload a Microsoft Office document (.doc, .docx, .pptx, .xlsx)
► Upload a PDF document (.pdf)
► Upload a text document (.txt)
The finished word clouds can be downloaded from WordClouds in JPG, PNG, PDF, or SVG format.
NOTE: Richard Byrne has produced a video clip to show Google Docs users how to create word clouds within their documents; take a look at the video at

Ratatype: - Typing test. Take free on-line typing speed test and get a certificate

Ratatype: - Typing test. Take free on-line typing speed test and get a certificate  | technologies |
Test your typing speed online, find out how fast can you type with Ratatype WPM typing test and get online typing certificate
John Dalziel's insight:
Touch typing is, without a doubt, an important skill; sadly overlooked by many learning providers.
Practitioners in Further, Adult & Community Education and Skills (#FACEandS) and/or Higher Education, often will not accept hand written assignments.
This because typed pages are much easier for them to read, edit and auto-mark.
Even an entry level job at the local Supermarket or fast food place will require at least some rudimentary typing skills so employees can swiftly and accurately enter customer or order information.
The first step toward learning how to properly touch type is to learn where your typing skills currently stand.
The easiest way to do that is to take an on-line typing test, like this one.
It provides them with three numbers...
 ● a gross typing speed,
 ● an accuracy percentage, and
 ● an adjusted typing speed.
Beginners can usually manage about 35 words per minute, and practiced typists have been clocked at more than 100 wpm.
The world record for typing on a QWERTY formatted keyboard is 216 words per minute.
Ratatype allows users...
 ● to test themselves, and
 ● learn how to touch type
