Barc | Easily Add Real-time Posting, Commenting, and Community to your Webpage for Free

Barc | Easily Add Real-time Posting, Commenting, and Community to your Webpage for Free | technologies | Scoop.it
Chat on any webpage or wifi network with Barc!
John Dalziel's insight:

Stakeholder voice (Learners, Employers, Administrators etc.,) is important, especially if learning providers want to provide more relevant content, to meet the needs of their website visitors.
They must gather and read comments they leave on the website. In order to do this, they must first have comments incorporated into their site.
Barc is a free to use tool that helps website owners; it helps them incorporate a new style of commenting on their website.
Barc offers learning providers an option of a chat-like commenting widget.
By selecting different options the widget is...
- started either opened or closed, and based on options
- placed on the bottom right corner of the site or
- placed on the right or left sides of the website.
Users can customise colours, and other properties of the commenting widget.
When all of the options are set, an embeddable code is generated to be used on the website for free.
Note: Currently Barc supports Tumblr, Blogger, WordPress, Drupal, and more.
The Barc tool will soon begin offering premium plans in addition to its free ones.
I've added Barc to my eMagazine page...

Pheed

Pheed | technologies | Scoop.it

Pheed...
- is a new social media platform launched on August 10, 2012.
- offers the standard sharing features such as text, photos and videos,
- has added new stuff like voice-notes, audio clips and live-broadcasting.
- also gives users the option to apply a monthly subscription fee to their channel or setting a pay-per-view live broadcast event. In both cases, users select the pricing and earn directly.

Note: users can always share and hang out for free, it's up to them.

Is this an opportunity to set up an Educational Social Media Presence that learners are not using (yet)?

Tagboard

Tagboard | technologies | Scoop.it
Tagboard. The social media hub for hashtags.
John Dalziel's insight:

Tagboard is a useful tool for engaging with, and finding current Social Media content!
It's...
- more than an analytics tool;
- an engagement tool.
Including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, and Vine, it's a pity Pinterest isn't included, users can see the specific hashtags on all the platforms.
They can also choose to see content on...
- Facebook only,
- Twitter only, etc.
Tagboard will be a great help, to those in marketing, to identify and use hashtags more effectively.

How To Create A Google+ Page

How To Create A Google+ Page | technologies | Scoop.it

It should be clear by now that Google+ is definitely not going anywhere.

It’s gaining in popularity and is a great complement or alternative to Facebook.

If you’re already set up on Google+ (for hang-outs perhaps), learning providers might want to look into adding a Google+ page for raising awareness and/or self-promotion/marketing etc.

Setting up one or more pages is easy, but Learning providers/practitioners/etc. should of course put some thought into how to make it distinctive.

This makeuseof posting will help...
