Google URL Shortener

Google URL Shortener | technologies | Scoop.it
John Dalziel's insight:

If you want to make sure that all of your learners have used a link you've provided them with (via QR codes perhaps), you may find Goo.gl, Google's URL shortening tool, useful.
When you shorten a link with Goo.gl a QR code is created for it too.
To find the QR code, click the "details" link after your shortened URL has been made.
The details page also shows you how many times your link has been used.
So if you see that the link or QR code has been used 12 times, but you have 18 learners, you can immediately seek out the learners who haven't followed the link.

QR Codes are a version of 2D barcode that can be scanned using Smartphones and a QR Code Reader.

QR Codes once scanned can...
   - launch URLs,
   - launch mobile pages,
   - initiate phone calls,
   - intitiate downloads, and more.

Note: If you need a QR Code Reader for your Smartphone visit your device's app store and search for "QR Code".

Flipped and Blended Interactive Video Learning Platform
John Dalziel's insight:

eduCanon is an excellent service for...
   - creating,
   - assigning, and
   - tracking learners' progress
...on flipped lessons.
eduCanon allows practitioners to...
   - build flipped lessons using YouTube and Vimeo videos,
   - create questions about the videos, then
   - assign lessons to their learners.
Once practitioners have found a video through eduCanon they can add questions to it at any point along its timeline.

Learners need to answer these questions before they move on to the next portion of the chosen video.
Practitioners can track their learners' progress within eduCanon.
