Chief executive of Finnish handset maker says new Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone offer a 'third ecosystem' to carriers. By Charles Arthur
Well, I own the Symbian version of this and I love it! I own an iPhone 4s I bought because Nokia didn't have their best smart phone out yet and my Nokia finally needed replacing after at least 5 years! Got the newer 808 which is the Symbian version of the one featured here. It's a Great phone! Still a work horse that holds up for anyone not so gentle on with things. Great pics are a plus and the Battery last great!
Unless you have all day to play with apps and many of us don't get into that...It's the best of the lot for everyday workhorse kind of phones or anyone that loves pictures and durability. I'm sure the apps will keep coming. I do hope the Finns hold their own and keep the ownership of their great designs. Throwing in with Microsoft did cost them some of the built up funds, but it's a great phone....Back those Finns and buy one...or just buy some stock while it's still affordable.
If you like filming concerts or music with your phone it is also hard to beat. Spring for an open, unlocked one and it travels all over the world and allows you to buy the best deal on sim card data plans where ever you travel. You could buy 3 phones in full if you try to use international cell plans from home based companies...That's the other problem with my iPhone. iI's stuck to a lousy plan ATT offers. T-mobile has a $50 dollar month to month, everything unlimited in the states....So use it if you live where T-Mobile works and maybe they will even expand it or some new cell service even more. No other deals I checked have been as good as that....Let's promote some competition, own our phones and even get them more open and innovated!
