Discover, Clip And Share Videos From Anywhere With ReelSurfer

Discover, Clip And Share Videos From Anywhere With ReelSurfer | Tech Tools to Remember & Share | Scoop.it

Excerpted from review article by TechCrunch:
"ReelSurfer is an instant video editor, born out of its founders frustration of trying to find clips, quotes and scenes from their favorite movies on YouTube and other video sites.
ReelSurfer developed the tools to let you clip any video from any website and share it with your “homies” and “homedawgs” over the Facebooks, Twitters and more.

Today, ReelSurfer has officially unveiled a redesigned interface, which looks a whole helluva lot better and makes it easier to navigate and makes its URL search box even more prominent — as it should be.

The new interface still enables users to make video mashups or reels of multiple videos and link back to the source so that viewers can check out the full clip if they so choose. However, the new interface does allow for improved search and video discovery, so that users have a better chance to see if the clip they want to make has already been clippity-clipped by someone else. Time saving, my friends, time saving.

Yet, the biggest addition would have to be that ReelSurfer the now allows users to use its bookmarklet to clip videos from both Brightcove and Ooyala, in addition to YouTube and Vimeo..."

Free Technology for Teachers: gClassFolders Version 2 Improves Google Drive File Management

Free Technology for Teachers: gClassFolders Version 2 Improves Google Drive File Management | Tech Tools to Remember & Share | Scoop.it

gClassFolders is a Google Drive script that will create folders for you for as many course sections as you need. The concept behind it is this; students have a "dropbox" folder in their Google Drive accounts that you have shared with them. To submit work students drag files into that "dropbox" folder. From there gClassFolders sorts submissions to the correct folder for each student.

MyKLogica's comment, May 7, 2013 2:38 AM
well, it is a pity that two skilled professionals do not know to how to do converge assertively their differences, and result in better contents, and content curation. Both of you are partly right and partly wrong, under my point of view, and instead of focusing in your differences, why don´t you focus on what may bring you together?
Therese Torris's comment, May 7, 2013 5:40 AM

Announcing Wikispaces Classroom

Announcing Wikispaces Classroom | Tech Tools to Remember & Share | Scoop.it

Today we are extraordinarily pleased to announce Wikispaces Classroom to the world.

Wikispaces Classroom is a brand new product from the Wikispaces team entirely and exclusively for teachers and students.

Over the years we’ve distilled what we believe and do into one simple thing: help teachers help students. And Wikispaces Classroom is our attempt to take that to the next level.

When we ask ourselves, our users, and our customers, what we can do to better help teachers help their students, the message always comes down to three things: Keep it simple. Help teachers and students engage deeply. Help teachers improve student outcomes. So that’s exactly what we’ve done.

Simplicity. Wikispaces was built to help people work together. All kinds of people, in all kinds of contexts. Over the years we made it easier and easier for teachers and students to use Wikispaces but there were always parts of Wikispaces that weren’t designed for the classroom and frankly, got in the way. In Wikispaces Classroom, all that is gone. It’s streamlined and focused, it puts everything you need to manage your classroom right up front, and it gets everything you don’t need right out of the way.

Something for the multiumedia curator's toolbox.

Jesús Torres Junquera's curator insight, March 4, 2013 10:05 AM
