This is an excellent article. I particularly like the two points, above, that emphasize putting technology choices in the hands of teachers.

Group brainstorming application GroupMap lets students and teachers work collaboratively on producing ideas, plans, reflections, revision and exam preparation, case studies, projects etc.

Free account allows to involve 5 participants and create 25 public maps.There are also different paid accounts.

At present GroupMap requires Google Chrome or Safari browsers on your PC, or Safari on your iPad.

We have streamlined many aspects of student services including registering and paying online, signing contract for installment payment online, parking, Dgree audit, Financial Aid, refund, making appointment for a whole host of student service such as Health Center, learning Assistant Centers, Career Center etc. online.  I have to check on only renting book!

There are times when this connectivity is lost or when WiFi is not picked up or when you are in the woods with no cellular service, in cases such as these, does your iPad have any value any more ? Jeff Dumm has the answer for this. He had diligently worked on the graphic below to share with us what we can do with our iPads when there is no connectivity
