Mobile Learning: 50+ Resources & Tips : Teacher Reboot Camp

Mobile Learning: 50+ Resources & Tips : Teacher Reboot Camp | Tech Tips | Scoop.it

I believe mobile devices will transform education. This is why I created a free ebook, Effective Mobile Learning: 50+ Quick Tips & Resources with helpful tips and several resources to help support this trend. One reason is because mobile devices are designed in a way that forces the teacher to give control to the learner. When we equip a classroom with iPads, iPods, small tablets, or cellphones the learning is literally put in the hands of the students. The teacher has to facilitate and walk around the room to manage the learning. Below are a list of 50+ Mobile Learning resources & growing! I hope this will help any educator new to integrating mobile devices with the knowledge they need to be successful! Feel free to pass these resources around and use them with your staff.

What Teachers Need to Know about BYOD ( Bring Your Own Device ) Trend in Education | Tech Tips | Scoop.it
"BYOD is the catch phrase in the 2012 educational technology spheres. This acronym stands for " Bring Your Own Device ", I am pretty sure you might have heard of this new trend because wherever you turn you hear people talking about embracing it. I actually have been reading a lot about it to the point that I deem it important that I share with you some of what I understood from BYOD ."

The Ultimate Simplified Guide to The Use of Evernote in Education

The Ultimate Simplified Guide to The Use of Evernote in Education | Tech Tips | Scoop.it

Evernote is a great web service and software application that we can use in education. A lot of ink has been shed on this topic and just one click in a search engine is enough to get hundreds of links to guides and tutorials about Evernote. I have been going through so many of these resources and have collected ideas, videos, notes and many more. If you are a loyal reader to my blog ( I am glad most of you are ) you would clearly notice that guides I write here are different in that they are simple. to the point, address teachers and students direct need, and most of all written in an easy and simple language. In this regard, I am working on an ebook that will contain all the guides I have posted here so far but will be available for free only to my subscribers. Without any further ado, let us get back to our guide.

It also has thousands of channels ranging from technology to Laugh and Gags. Given the important of YouTube as a primary source of video content, Educational Technology and Mobile Learning has dedicated a whole section to reviewing educational tools and tips teachers and students can use to maximize their benefit from YouTube. In this regard, I have selected some of the popular tools I have already reviewed here and compiled them in a list that is handy for any teacher or educator to check whenever time permits.
