Technology Not Going to “Save” Education: Dealing with Curriculum Myths | teaching with technology | Scoop.it

Thought-provoking blog entry from Tony Gurr...

Learning with 'e's: The Commons touch | teaching with technology | Scoop.it

Steve Wheeler offers some great advice on copyright and Creative Commons.

"Many people assume that because the web is open, any and all content is open for copying and reuse. It is not. Use some content and you could well be breaking copyright law. Many sites host copyrighted material, and many people are confused about what they can reuse or copy...."

Teaching Students to use Technology Responsibly

Teaching Students to use Technology Responsibly | teaching with technology | Scoop.it

For years our children have been conditioned that if you really want to be popular with video (most views) then you need to show something embarrassing or rude. YouTube is full of these types of videos and there are even TV shows dedicated to this genre. I believe that part of teaching students how to use technology is to teach them how to use it responsibly.

Ten Uses for Video in Education (Flip & iPad) | Wallace ICT | teaching with technology | Scoop.it
There is nothing more motivating (and exciting) as digital creativity in the classroom. I personally think you would be hard pushed to find a teacher who doesn’t love offering their pupils digital creativity opportunities yet we all face the age old problem of having little TIME to learn new technologies and even less time to freely experiment in class.
