This infographic takes a look at some key social media statistics from around the globe. Did you know that Japan is the only major country where Twitter is more popular than Facebook? This year, Pinterest has seen enormous growth in the U.S. – the highest increase rate of anywhere in the world – and India is now just behind the United Kingdom in LinkedIn use, with 15 million people using the site. And they’re not planning to stop there, as India is tipped to become Facebook’s largest market by 2015... Via Lauren Moss

We often hear complaints about what students say and do online, but we often neglect to look into educators helping them manage their online reputation. This infographic is geared toward adults, but it can serve as a great starting point for conversations and activities that educators can engage in with students to help them to establish an active digital footprint that represents who they want to be perceived as online.

But a greater number of devices can face certain problems when you’re attempting to visit specific website. That’s where Responsive website design became a saving power for developers... Educate yourself about the importance of visual information on your website. With infographics, you will gain a lot more traffic for your growing website.
Visual information is processed faster by the brain, with 90% of all the information that we take in is visual. But the thing with visual information is also that unless it’s a really good story or article, people don’t want to read through a whole page of text when he or she could do something else more fun. So, throw in an infographic with visual information, and you’ll have a winner... Via Lauren Moss Delete the scoop?

In our upcoming October design issue, one of the many fascinating feature stories we’ve lined up is a lengthy profile of Pinterest and its elusive CEO, Ben Silbermann.
That story goes live later this week, but until then, here's an infographic about Pinterest, created by Fast Company's staff and designed by our own Ted Keller. In this profusion of figures, you find out a few, key things about the image-sharing service. For one, it’s dominated by women. Second, something about its layout and culture stokes an enormous buying impulse. And third, major brands are getting in on the act. It’s not a stretch to say that soon, at least on retail sites, a Pinterest button might become as ubiquitous as a Facebook Like. Check out the infographic, or tour the major findings in the accompanying slide show... Via Lauren Moss Delete the scoop?

It’s clear that today’s students rely heavily on electronic devices even when they’re not incorporated in the classroom. In one survey of college students, 38% said they couldn’t even go 10 minutes without switching on some sort of electronic device.
But how students are using their devices, how technology is affecting their educational experience, and what effect it has on their well-being are questions that are harder to answer. In the infographic below, online higher education database Onlineeducation.net has summed up some of the existing research on these points. Via Anthony Beal Delete the scoop?
