For a bit of inspiration take a look at a few of these student blogs. It really is amazing what students can do when they are set loose with writing tools. "Blogging is  a great learning venue for students; it does not only help them develop their literacy skills and hone in their  academic competencies but also provides them with a collaborative environment where they can exercise and grow their emotional, intellectual, and social intelligence."
