As many teachers work hard to instil a love of writing within their pupils (usually not by giving ‘lines’ as a punishment!), BBC Radio 2 is helping with their annual competition aimed at children aged 13 and under (UK only). Winners can win their own height in books, writing stories with a word-count of up to 500 words. To support this process, and inspire pupils, the BBC has organised a live webcast, happening at 11.30am on Friday (7th February 2014), featuring Alex Jones in conversation with one of the 500 WORDS judges, Frank Cottrell Boyce.
