Unit 1 - Matter and Chemistry

For the 2012-2013 school year, we didn't have enough teachers for separate 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade science classes. So, we combined them into one class. This gave the teachers a lot of flexibility because we weren't tied to one curriculum. We gave the kids pre-homework to watch relevant youtube videos and then we mostly did science experiments in class.
