Vance Stevens's curator insight, October 1, 2013 11:27 AM

Nik Peachey recommended this one, and I commented that I am using Any Video Converter to extract mp3s from YouTube videos (and sometimes using them in classrooms with no Internet).  It's free and works quite well, http://www.any-video-converter.com/

Ilana Rosansky's curator insight, October 2, 2013 1:26 AM

I often download short videos from YouTube and elsewhere but also often experience various download 'problems'. I am optimistic that this may solve those problems... Looks good!

Looks like a good tool though haven't tried it as yet. The basic features are free of cost.

Taryn Coxall's curator insight, October 15, 2013 7:06 PM

Explee is a fun presentation/animation software which allows students of all ages to create. present origional and creative animations. This can include Students speech and text and is another fun and easy option rather than using powerpoint.

I believe it ismportnat to expose students to the the countless (free) resources the the internet has to offer so they can utilize these research in not only in their primary school projects/ presentations but take this into later years/ high school years. Althgough there are countless resources and programmes such as this i feel "Explee" is a simple yet effective programme that promotes creative thinking. This software would be most suited to upper level primary.

Five Ways Video Changes the Classroom

Five Ways Video Changes the Classroom | Tech in teaching | Scoop.it
Carmenne Kalyaniwala-Thapliyal's insight:

A video document has been used since a while now, but what is interesting is if and how it is integrated in project based learning. Students do learn better if they are engaged in their own learning processes and how much better can that get if they are involved in working on their own projects.... though I would add the qualifying term 'collaborative' to projects
