Constructionist learning theory holds that learning is most effective when students are engaged in making or constructing objects and artifacts.
Service-learning experiences are expected to benefit both the student and the community, giving students the opportunity to learn and apply academic skills, enhance their personal growth, and develop a sense of civic and social responsibility.
