Hold on to your hats folks. Numbers of kids choosing Ancient History increased when 'Troy' and 'Alexander the Great' came out in 2004. We'll be beating them off with sticks when Pompeii comes out next year.

Two reasons: 1. The Egyptians are still experiencing a political revolution and it's not safe for tourists to visit 2. They're building a new museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) which will showcase their finest antiquities.
