I think cross-subject thematic units are excellent because it can reach so many more students in a given class thanks to multiple focuses. The downside? When you become micro-managed on a pacing chart &Lose the inability to bring in YOUR Fo Real teaching style into the lesson.

Have some fun this month with your students before spring break.  Adrianne of The Tutor House created this fun math categorization game called Even and Odd Basketball.  Her students have loved getting up and moving while learning.

being able to take what I teach and mix it up with what is going on in the world TODAY and make it a game-everyone wins!  I can teach, kids stay interested and competition is healthy.  The outcome?  Knowledge! Fo real!
