My conclusions

This on-line assignment was a special way to find information
easily, and in a different method from which I use in the university to acquire knowledge. This assignment has helped me to learn more about teaching children with attention deficit Disorder and has enriched my outlook in special education. As a student who studies this, and specializing in teaching children with ADD and ADHD, I have acquired tools that I will apply to my studies and work in the future.
First, it has enriched my knowledge about what is ADHD and ADD and
what are the symptoms that I should notice with children who have difficulty in class. After that, l have learned how I should relate to this syndrome. Later I have learned from the articles that are directed to teachers and parents of ADD and ADHD children. These articles discuss learning strategies for those kids, where they should sit in classroom, which activities are recommended for higher concentration in classroom, how to use the relationship and communication between parent-teacher to help for the student. In addition, I have learned that special parts at the school should be built for those students and many other tips.

I really enjoyed to do this assignment, and I recommend to do
"SCOOP-IT" for every issue that we find interesting. Good luck!

From this article I have learned about the importance of teacher-parent relation. As a future special education teacher I will be teaching children who take motivational medication, and this article discusses how these medications work and how the side effects influence the child. This information will be helpful in distinguishing between students who respond well to the medication to those who do not and have developed an addiction to the medication. I find this information useful in regulating and setting protocol to the use of these medications in a school enviorment.

Mom Finds ADHD Cure That Isn't Drugs - YouTube

A woman says her daughter with ADHD is responding to talk therapy.
Bat-El's insight:

There has been much debate as how to deal with children diagnosed with ADHD. The most common method is to medicate the child with drugs like Ritalin. There have been those who say that medicating children at such a young age could have long term side-effects. It is hard to say weather or not this claim is true due to the fact that there has been no longitude study on matter. It is my personal believe that before parents partially sedate the students, other alternatives be checked, such as this. To me, this seems like a good alternative because it not only keeps the student from being medicated, it also helps him/her deal with the challenges of ADHD in a constructive environment, which could be a strong character build.

How A.D.H.D. Feels - YouTube

Come talk to me on my Facebook Page, or on twitter. Here's the link. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jerry-Arbs/139827406116703
Bat-El's insight:

Although, at fist, it may appear a little unorthodox, I thought it would be important to get some insight on ADHD from someone who was diagnosed. It is often easy to read academic material or here the opinion of teachers and parents of children who have been diagnosed with ADHD with out taking into account what the child is feeling. As a future educator it is important to see things the way our students see things. If it is my wish to educate the student I must know first how he/she feels. Such knowledge it will make the challenges of ADHD clearer and easier to deal with.
