Teaching literature involves having great texts on hand at every moment. You also want to make those texts more accessible to students and teach them how to analyze, evaluate and simply understand them.
"Pixntell is an iPad app for quickly creating simple narrated photostories. To create a story using Pixntell all that you need to do is start a new project, select some images, place them in order, and then start talking about each of your pictures. You control the timing for each image. If you want to talk about your first picture for twenty seconds, your second picture for just three seconds, and your third picture for fifteen seconds, you can do that. When your project is complete you can upload it directly to YouTube, share it on Facebook, or send to friends via email."
Google is usually one of the first places students turn to when tasked with an assignment. I had never done anything like this before so I was keen to see how I could engage students in experimenting and learning about musical instruments and musical concepts using Garage Band on the iPad."

"The term “new normal” is the lingo used to describe drastic change in doing something or life after a major event. The change is usually quick and immediate. It alters one’s approach to something or way of life. In the educational world a slower transition is happening that will create a new normal. That change agent is social media. Social media has been around for some time but its practical use is relatively new to educators. As I engage more and more educators in the use of social media for educational purposes I hear a lot of the same questions. Here are some of the most common questions with my responses."
