At http://www.learnclick.com it is very simple to create quizzes. For gap-filling exercises (so-called cloze tests) you just mark the words with your mouse. Learnclick.com also lets you generate drag & drop, drop down and matching exercises. You can insert images, video and sound into your quizzes. So much good stuff, Shona! Tag it 'audio tools' in Evernote and review what you use  - I'm enjoying the ease of use of Soundcloud at the moment, but it has some weird 'behaviours'.

Learnclick is a really useful tool. It isn't free, but at USD $1.59/month for teachers (students don't need to pay) it's very affordable (less than a cup of coffee) . Paying a small amount to support sites can also ensure that they continue to provide and develop a good service.

Each game type is sold under individual license so it can star to get expensive (average price around $29 per game) but once you have downloaded the template you can create as many games as you want with it. I sort of think it's an on-going kind of journey. It's hard to get there in one jump. I see it as more of a gradual and intentional shift.
