Un elemento importante en la evolución del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje es el uso y presentación de materiales, que ayudarán a generar un espacio de aprendizaje favorable y que deben ser trabajados bajo un enfoque pedagógico didáctico acorde a los nuevos entornos virtuales. Esto debe ser abordado por profesionales formados en la temática.
En un proyecto e-learning el protagonista que debe llevar adelante este trabajo es el Diseñador Instruccional (DI), quien tiene la responsabilidad de asegurar el éxito del proyecto.

En mi opinión es vital que consideremos al diseño instrucción al como parte del proceso de planeación sin perder jamás de vista que es el medio y no el fin en sí mismo.
.
Creo que deberemos estructurar primero, planear, y después diseñar ya que si no comprendemos el proceso del diseño de los entornos de aprendizaje, no podremos crear espacios que realmente potencien el aprendizaje de nuestros alumnos.
