We are pleased to announce the Learning Revolution Conference, online and free, April 21 - 25, 2014.
The first three days of the event will have evening (US Time) keynote speakers. The final two days of the conference will include as well a full set of traditional conference sessions during the day.
The conference will be held in multiple languages and time zones. Everyone is invited to participate in this FREE event designed to foster conversations about learning from often-separate fields: school, library, museum, work, adult, online, non-traditional, and home education.
Participants will become acquainted with Moodle as a course and learning management system. They will learn how Moodle can be used in fully online, blended learning, and the flipped class.
The course will only include asynchronous (not dependent on time) element on a Moodle site called Moodle for Teachers. The Moodle courses are free and are suitable to anyone interested in teaching, organizing conferences, conducting research studies, writing collaborative books, or organizing MOOCs. Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education 2013 From April 9-12, 2014
This year the conference is being held from April 9-12th, 2014 using three immersive environments including Second Life, OSGrid, and CloudParty.
The main conference will be followed up by a 3-week Massively Open Online Course (MOOC) which will highlight examples of educational design from a myriad of other immersive environments. Past presentations have included environments such as Club Penguin, Eve Online, World of Warcraft, Spot on 3D, inWorldz, Sococo, and a host of other virtual platforms.
The Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Conference is a grass-roots, community lead conference which is organized by educators, for educators.
The conference attracts between 2000-2400 people annually from over 90 countries around the world. With 250 presenters each year, a small army of over 60 volunteers help make this conference possible.

The DEN Fall Virtual Conference is a free professional development event for educators to learn about the most effective ways to integrate digital media into their instructional practices. It is unique because of its blended environment.
The sessions will be broadcast online, but you can attend either from your own home or at one of the many face-to- face (F2F) events around the world. By attending an event in your area, you get that buzz that can only be experienced by being face to face with others.
We are pleased to announce the fourth annual Global Education Conference, a free week-long online event bringing together educators and innovators from around the world, held Monday, November 17 through Friday, November 22, 2014 (November 23rd in some time zones).
The entire conference will take place online in webinar format.
The Global Education Conference is a collaborative, inclusive, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for connecting classrooms while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity and educational access for all. Last year’s (2013) conference featured 300 general sessions and 20 keynote addresses from all over the world with over 13,000 participant logins.
At the beginning of each month, we start a new series of online teacher camps in 3D GameLab.
Each camp lasts three weeks, start and work at your own pace. Attend optional synchronous events tied to quests, check the Guild Calendar. Your Legendary 3D GameLab account gives you ongoing access to all camps throughout the year.
Professional development credit is available through Boise State University.
