The Global Search for Education - Is the AP Worth It?
Huffington Post
In The Global Search for Education, join me and globally renowned thought leaders including Sir Michael Barber (UK), Dr.
My experience, with teaching both AP United States History and AP Human Geography, is that absolutely YES Advanced Placement courses are worth it. Regardless of a student's score on an AP exam, a student is taught a variety of ways to make an informed decision and/or present a well-reasoned argement based upon legitimate analysis of evidence. Basically, students learn how to think...not "what to think". A student exposed to this, which should be the basis of ANY class, is much better prepared for life in general and college more specifically.
