Cheap Holidays In Crete

Cheap Holidays In Crete | Tasting the World | Scoop.it

Crete is renowned across the Mediterranean as one of the sea’s most attractive holiday destinations but there is more to the island than simply beaches and bars. The island is the largest, most populous and most southerly of the Greek islands and it makes a major contribution to the overall economy of the country. For centuries it was the center of the Minoan civilization that had a hugely significant hand in steering the development of other Greek societies and ultimately that of modern Europe.

Lake Titicaca photo essay of the Uros people & islands from Puno, Peru

Lake Titicaca photo essay of the Uros people & islands from Puno, Peru | Tasting the World | Scoop.it
Having visited Lake Titicaca from Bolivia several months prior to arriving back in Peru, I was ecstatic that my schedule allowed for enough time to see Lago Titicaca again from the Peruvian side of Puno. Lake Titicaca is of fairytale reputation – pristine blue waters that match the intensity and saturation of the sky, cotton candy clouds, scarcely inhabited islands and traditional cultures and people.
