Rodo S/S 2014 Collection

Rodo S/S 2014 Collection | TAFT: Trends And Fashion Timeline | Scoop.it

The colour swatch is based on floral mood, from buganville and gentian to mimosa and paradise flower, tempered by the grey of summery gravel.

Withe colour goes along with any bag or shoe proposal, emphasizing on the lightness and use of materials that narrate about RODOs' wise craftsmanship.

The whitened elaphe characterizes the Spring 2014 Collection, combining every basic colour in the matches with the galvanic, the patents, the calfs and the stones that enrich the entire proposal.

The shoes range from ballerina flats to pumps delevloped in different heel hights, to sandals embellished with stones and different colours.

Soft calf maxi clutches and coloured suede shoulder bags widen the variation of the historical clutches. Embellished with Swarovski crystals, covered in patent calfs or in precious metallic pythons, the “trait d'union” remains the metal detail, authentic style code from RODO.

http://fashionpopqueen.com was there.

Greeted by a doorman, I knew I was truly at the right place for the eponymous label, Cesare Paciotii, and their Spring/Summer 2014 presentation. A luxury shoe brand created by Italian designer, Cesare Paciotti, the brand thrives on exclusivity and craftsmanship. So what better location to hold their SS14 presentation than the high- end, Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, France? Capturing the core-essence of the brand, the chosen setting had gold chandeliers and 17th and 18th century portraiture throughout the entire lobby. Even as you entered the room of the presentation, you are greeted by two fashion publicists dressed in the usual all-black attire, and a bar on your right filled champagne and finger-foods such as small vanilla cupcakes.

Making my way around the room, in an effort to try to zone out all the French people around me, I started to take a closer look at the shoes presented throughout the collection. The props surrounding each block of shoes elevated the message of glamour Cesare Paciotti actively portrays. Noticeably, there was  a wide-range of shoes presented throughout the collection; making me believe that Cesare Paciotti catered to every woman, no matter her personal style or taste.

In addition to the wide variety of shoes in Paciotti’s SS14 collection, the sense of versatility quickly struck me as I continued to snap photographs. ...

Silvano Lattanzi: The Secret to the Buried Shoes

Silvano Lattanzi: The Secret to the Buried Shoes | TAFT: Trends And Fashion Timeline | Scoop.it

In 1837 at age 38, the greatest Italian poet of the time Dante Giacomo Leopardi died due to an asthma attack in a small apartment in Napoli. Close friends of the poet managed to prevent his body from being thrown into a collective grave (this was common at the time to prevent the spread of cholera.) Dante’s body was placed in the church of San Vitale in Fuorigrotta where the tomb of the national poet became a monument.

In 1900, Dante’s body was exhumed for tests, however, the grave revealed some very shocking contents. None of his bones were in the correct position, the coffin was broken and Dante Giacomo’s skull was not in it.

Legend has it that the only item that helped clarify and identify that the body was indeed Dante Giacomo Leopardi, was a pair of ankle boots found inside the coffin. They were the same size and style as those usually worn in all the poet’s portraits. The boots survived 63 years after burial, they were a bit ragged but all in all, perfectly preserved.

Inspired by these historical pair of boots, Silvano Lattanzi, a shoe maker known for his unconventional materials and concepts, got the idea to bury different pairs of shoes in a garden for a period of four years in order for them to achieve the same kind of preservation and the ultimate antique feel. Style tips by Franceschetti Shoes: at the theater

Style tips by Franceschetti Shoes: at the theater | TAFT: Trends And Fashion Timeline | Scoop.it

Going to the opera is a date with culture, but also a social event. It’s important dressing well to be in harmony with the context. There are some style rules to follow that are based on three values: don’t be too eccentric, be balanced and have attention to detail.
The kind of clothing varies if it is a first or other evenings, and also changes according to your age. The colors, however, are constant and strictly dark. If you are going at a première the rule would impose a tuxedo, evening suit par excellence, with white shirt, black tie or bow tie, waist band, matching socks with dress, lace-up shoes, mocassins and ankleboots are banned. However, you will also be at ease with a dark suit, maybe with shiny details.
If you are very young you can do without the tie, but the shoe has to be graceful and absolutely black or very dark. Also for you men accessories are important, but don’t overdo: are enough cufflinks, a nice watch, wedding ring, if you are married, and wrapping scarf, but not too bulky to warm you, leaving the theater, on cold winter evenings. Don’t wear too much perfume to not inebriate who is sitting next to you in the box seat or in the audience …. Are you ready, we can only wish you good fun and a good evening …
