Very interesting reflection on how tablets are changing the way young people learn. It cautions the reader against consumption type apps for toddlers and preschoolers and raises concerns about how our current education system will deal with Les Tablettistes.

 

As a parent of the tablet savy preschool generation and an educator it emphasizes the immediacy of the need for change in our current system. My tablet gurus will be in post-secondary in a short 12 years. Will we be ready for them? Will their grade one teacher even be ready?
