Djokovic through to Wimbledon semi-finals after win against Cilic

Djokovic through to Wimbledon semi-finals after win against Cilic | Tennis 2014 | Scoop.it
RIATH AL-SAMARRAI AT WIMBLEDON: For a while it seemed like Novak Djokovic was done, another big seed facing a big loss. He was startlingly poor for two sets, slipping and sliding and whingeing and dropping points.
Lea Sanchez's insight:

Charismatic, crazy and talented. Very very talented. Those are adjectives that describe to Novak Djokovic. The serbian tennis player,  is now the favourite to win Wimbledon for the second time. He beat 26th-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-1, 3-6, 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-2 and he is in semi-finals.  On Friday, Djokovic will face No. 11 Grigor Dimitrov, who defeated defending champion Andy Murray in the quarterfinals.

19-year-old Nick Kyrgios upsets No. 1 Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon in four sets (7-6, 5-7, 7-6, 6-3)! http://t.co/ojBCM8IWou
Lea Sanchez's insight:

Is there a new king?  The No. 1 tennis player , Rafa Nadal, lost in the fourth round of Wimbledon to Nick Kyrgios. The Australian tennis player, was born in April 1995. Nick is only nineteen! Rafa is the best player in slow fields, but he can´t pull it off on grass.

Roger Federer advanced to his 35th Grand Slam semi-final on Wednesday at The Championships as he fought from a set down to beat Stan Wawrinka. It was the first all-Swiss quarter-final at Wimbledon.

World Cup soccer: The thing that can make Roger Federer nervous
FOXSports.com
We've seen Roger Federer in countless big-time tennis matches, and very rarely — perhaps never — has the word "nervous" been used to describe him on the court.
Lea Sanchez's insight:

Roger is probably the most peaceful man in the world. But, he is a fan of soccer. The Swiss suffered a lot with the victory of Argentina. Switzerland stayed out of the World Cup in a very difficult match and so lived roger.

An exceptional performance from Dimitrov, who knocks out defending champ Murray 6-1 7-6 6-2 to reach his 1st Slam SF http://t.co/yuhDSTdHDG
Lea Sanchez's insight:

Dimitrov was the surprise! Murray had dominated each of his opponents en route to the quarter-final but he was totally outplayed by the impressive Bulgarian.  Murray never managed to find anything like his best form while Dimitrov, seeded 11, played a great match. The british player lost his crown.
