"I don't think this restaurant visit was meant to be" we said to each other and decided to go to Thanh Binh instead. We don't have a reservation but at 5pm on a Sunday it's relatively empty although later it will fill up to half full.
Riley Street Garage sits at the Woollomooloo end of Riley Street in a converted car depot and garage from the 1930's. The mechanic theme is retained in the menu along with the building's Art Deco style.
The Oaks Hotel, Neutral Bay. I couldn't resist the blackboard special of the Dry Aged Ribeye on the bone with bone marrow, roasted potatoes and spinach ($42) which was one hunk of a sexy beast. AND CAME WITH BONE MARROW!
Niji Sushi sits on the corner of Anzac Parade and Borrodale Rd where the former Gourmet Pizza Kitchen was located for many years. It's very busy this Friday lunch time with most of the action at the sushi train.
Catalina (Lyne Park, Rose Bay). Roasted Suckling Pig, Banana and Salted Peanut Butter Parfait oh and Let's Do Lunch special of Pan Fried Mulloway. Fabulous food, amazing view of Rose Bay and special mention to the attentive service we received!
