Hawaii County has hired legal help from the nonprofit environmental group Earthjustice to keep new GMOs off Hawaii Island.  On 26 November 2014, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren ruled in favor of invalidating Hawaii County Ordinance 13-121, which would have restricted the cultivation of GMOs on Hawaii Island. According to "Big Island Video News", "The council is only expected to cover the costs of the environmental lawyers, not to exceed $10,000. "  Aloha, Russ.
