If the attack could not be repulsed, the new playbook calls for “active defense,” which General Dempsey defined as a “proportional” effort “to go out and disable the particular botnet that was attacking us.” It is notable that, in this situation, the line between active defense and offense might be blurry.
Ángel G. de Ágreda's comment, June 29, 2013 2:39 PM
Indeed, there are no rules. Legal jurisdiction is designed for Nation States and within them. Regardless how powerful one nation is, its rules do not apply abroad. Or they shouldn't. We, therefore, need international rules and mechanisms to enforce them legally.

Synergyse Blog: Using Google Docs Research Tool in the Classroom

Synergyse Blog: Using Google Docs Research Tool in the Classroom | 21st Century Sustainable Development | Scoop.it

by Mike Reading

"Apart from the ability to collaborate in real time, my favourite tool inside Google Docs is the ability to conduct research without having to leave the document I am working in.

"Not only does the research feature save you time, but allows you to easily collate a bibliography of sites that you have visited and used.  This is perfect for students doing a major assignment, where research and quoting secondary sources is a major focus.

"The research tool can also be used by younger students to start the research process.  I encourage students when starting to research a topic to find all the information they might need to gain a general understanding of their topic.  Once they have a number of sources and understand the topic in general, they can then easily go back through their research doc and find relevant information which will allow them to understand the topic in more depth."
