Located in the environmentally sensitive FNQ Beachfront Rainforest in Queensland, this futuristic residence is entirely carbon neutral.


Making the most of the site’s amenities and resources, the project reintroduces the surrounding native wetland environment by situating the home over an engineered water ecosystem, a collaborative effort between national parks, environmental agencies, and state and local government. With solar panels covering the roof, the use of cantilevers to mitigate the impact from potential flooding, and a structure that can withstand cyclones, the Stamp House is a striking marriage of refined design with environmental awareness.

Looking like Epcot Center in Disney World, Montreal’s Biosphere is a museum dedicated to the environment. Originally built as the United States pavilion for the 1967 World Fair Expo, the dome was repurposed into the museum in 1990.

The interactive museum initially showcased the water ecosystem of the Great Lakes region, but has since expanded to encompasses environmental issues such as climate change, air, eco-technologies and sustainable development.

Amsterdam-based studio Lijbers Architects have created 'Biodiversity', an urban planning proposal sited within the Netherlands, which addresses the overall decline of natural environments due to rapid development by humans. Biodiversity of plants and animals have reduced significantly as a direct result of the human need to consume space and raw materials, initiating this design to revert these trends and reclaim as much as possible before it is gone entirely. This initiative is to place frameworks upon existing structures, creating additional surface area to plant and grow flora & fauna.
