The deniers of climate change are irrevocably backed by the oil and coal industry. They are using media moguls (no prizes for guessing who) to create a sense of denial in the general public. Ultimately we will all suffer because of the lack if urgency to make drastic changes now. In 30 years there is no turning back.

Recycling your old gadgets is necessary but not everyone is aware of where you can drop them off. Good to see places like best buy offer a free service in USA. Here in Australia, big brands like Lenovo offer a free recycling service. They have a national wide service called Tech Collect with other big brands.

This article is poking holes in to the marketing efforts of brands not focusing on sustainability. I personally noticed after the GFC, most customers (Corporate and Government) lost interest in sustainability. However, I am starting to see an increased interest again. Here's the 5 excuses marketers use for not using sustainability in their marketing efforts:

- Customers aren't asking for it

- When we give it to them, they don't want it

- Sustainability is boring, too complicated and too expensive

- It's risky

- We need to communicate our core attributes
