The southeastern United States is a natural laboratory for scientists studying how chemicals emitted by human activities and trees interact with each other and affect air quality and climate. A new study has found that certain emissions from cars and coal-fired power plants promote processes that transform naturally occurring emissions from trees into organic aerosols. Organic aerosols make up a substantial fraction of ambient particulate matter (PM) that can affect climate, air quality and human health.

Bien que le Danemark figure déjà parmi les pays les plus engagés d’Europe dans la lutte pour la protection de la planète, son ministère de l’Environnement n’entend pas se reposer sur ses lauriers. En effet, ce dernier a récemment promis l’arrêt définitif de la combustion de charbon d’ici à 2025. Une promesse osée et engagée qui place le pays en position de leader mondial en matière d’éco-responsabilité.

Mais écologique signifie t"il aussi Respect de la vie.. ? Auquel cas, un grand et rapide effort serait à fournir au niveau des Iles Féroé et les 23 plages où se passent encore les massacres terribles de dauphins et cétacés...
