Facebook uses a complicated algorithm that limits your page's reach, but there are a few things you can do to help improve it.
By now, you probably know that not all your fans see your Facebook fan page’s posts (a typical Facebook post reaches only 17% of its audience). I can tell you from personal experience that I “like” a total of 180 pages on Facebook, but I only see a handful of posts from a fraction of those pages.
Why don’t we see all of our “liked” pages’ posts? Facebook doesn’t dump every post chronologically into its users’ newsfeeds; it uses an algorithm called “EdgeRank” that combines a number of different factors that determine how posts show up on newsfeeds. Unfortunately, that means it’s harder for everyone who uses Facebook as a business marketing tool to reach their audiences.
What if we were to tell you there’s a free method of connecting with over 500 million internet users, 140 million of whom live in the United States? With no cost other than your time, you can define your brand, gain customers, scope out your competitions’ leads and even perform market research.
We’ve compiled 10 of the most effective ways to get started on Twitter.

Brands that have an international presence just got a major boost, courtesy of Facebook. The site announced the rollout Wednesday of global pages for companies that want to reach out to consumers in other countries. Through this new layout, brands can establish one global identity.
In one of the biggest developments for brands since timeline, companies can more easily communicate with customers all over the world. Global pages allows brands that have one page or multiple country-based pages to have a universal, yet localized, presence.
Users will be directed to the best version of a page based on their home country, letting them see localized cover photos, profile photos, applications, milestones, “about” information, and news feed stories. The global pages structure will include localized pages for specific markets (single or multicountry regions) and a default page for all other markets.
Facebook Product Marketing Manager Kelly Winters wrote that users from all countries will see the same page name translated into their local language, as well as fan count and people talking about this. Brands can promote one URL, and users will automatically be directed to their localized page. Administrators can see insights for all global users in an easy-to-view dashboard.

When you take the right steps to promote your website through basic social media channels, you’re tapping into a rather powerful force that can earn you links and tons of traffic. This practice is known in the online world more formally as social media marketing.
The truth about social media marketing is that there simply isn’t a better method for producing large numbers of hits without spending money – or at least a lot of it. It doesn’t matter whether you sell products or services or just create content and enjoy some ad revenue, social media marking is a very viable method that will make a site flourish over time if it’s used correctly.

5 Simple Tips To Improve Your Social Media Marketing #SMM #CC...
Social Media plays an increasingly important role in many business marketing efforts. It’s one of the pillars of a successful Inbound Marketing strategy, and with as little as 6 hours of dedicated effort a week, a small business can see improved sales results. While increased usage is great sign that business is adapting, there are some all-to-common errors that prevent business owners from taking full advantage of everything social media offers.
It’s particularly important since recent research has shown the average time spent using social media is increasing. According to research from HubSpot, more than 85% of Internet users have Facebook accounts and 49% are on Twitter. In other words, your prospects are using social media.
Since social media has a 100% higher lead-to-close rate than outbound marketing, it’s important to eliminate the stumbles.

It was 1999, the year I started with search engine marketing..
It was 1999, the year I started with search engine marketing. I had already developed a few websites, one of which was for my sorority, and I wanted to get it ranked well in the search engines, that was mostly Yahoo. Google didn’t even exist yet.
So after adding categories to my website, learning about meta tags and descriptions, we were found under the right categories, with a bulkload of categories, that were spot on to slightly related to the website topic.
Gaming the web was always part of Search Engine Optimization. As everybody was in the same race to get more and more traffic to the website. And reading up on SEO experts that were sharing their tricks, I remember experimenting with those technics.
Social media is a great tool for business and networking as well as lots of fun; but it’s addicting too and can steal productive hours out of your day. You know how it is – sometimes I say, “Oh, I’ll just jump on for a second,” but if I’m not careful, those seconds can quickly turn into hours.
Discipline Your Inner Social Media Spirit
Most of the time, I’m really good at remaining disciplined when it comes to my daily engagement on social media. If your inner social media spirit needs a little more discipline, check out this post I wrote a while back – Balancing Your Life and Your Social Networks. The key to successfully balancing your life with your social media activities involves prudent prioritizing.
Google+ is the hottest game in town when it comes search engine placement gains—at least for the time being.
The user types they identified over three studies can be remembered by the acronym FBSIGN (Fans, Branders, Social-Searchers, Influencers, Gamers & Neutrals).
If you Google “facebook user types” you’ll find a lot of humorous speculation (“those who don’t use commas,” “those who photograph their meals,” “those whose profile pictures are their babies”). But to date there is only one statistical segmentation, recently published by Psychster Inc. and the University of Washington MCDM program.
