This article is one that you need to have a long time to read but it is well worth it because you are being taught the differences as well as unifying the different languages. There are differences between spoken language, signed language, and gesture and they are clearly separated out.

Switched At Birth is a show on ABC Family that educates everyone across the world on the deaf community and the challenges and accomplishments of people who are deaf. This show is definitely something that I would have a child watch who is deaf so that they do not feel alone or that they are some sort of outcast.Because no one is the exact same and everyone is special in their own way.
