Social media for schools: a guide to Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest

Social media for schools: a guide to Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest | Success through Learning | Scoop.it

"The use of social media in education continues to be something of a hot topic with arguments both for and against. So I carried out a small survey of 27 teaching professionals in order to create a baseline of understanding into the use (or not) of social networking in schools, and also any concerns over some of the e-safety risks. The full survey results can be found here. There are many uses of social media in education - below are just a few of the ways they can be effectively used."  I definitely had to rescoop this.  The writer went to my old university, where I coincidentally spent some time studying journalism.

A List of Great Educational Games for your Students

A List of Great Educational Games for your Students | Success through Learning | Scoop.it

Games are important learning and teaching materials in the classroom. Teachers have been integrating games into their instruction way before even the use of  technology. But now that technology...  These are probably more use to me as a teacher than they would be of use to someone who is seeking to educate themselves but all the same it is a good idea to remember that when we are playing we are learning without even knowing it.

Hi David, Thank you for taking time to pass by and share your thoughts. I'm afraid, however, I don't quite understand what posts you are referring to. I am certain that educators will know which tool to use according to their context.
