Well, well, I wonder what we were teaching then, at the Educational Faculty in the nineties. We were flipping and blending all over the place. Learning to learn it was called. (Yuck ...!) Before that: Independent learning (I like that). Learner autonomy (like that too, but that's different). My early guide: Holec, H. 1981. Autonomy and foreign language learning. Oxford: Pergamon. 1981 see? But, what's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. As long as it works ...
