The school tries to do something special every year to celebrate the successful completion of the first week of school. This year, handing out Popsicles on what was the hottest day of the year thus far seemed like a good idea.
Challenged by the Spencer High School staff, members of the SHS Student Council took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge during the pep rally which concluded the day Friday, prior to Spencer's first home football game of the season. Students contributed to cause, doused themselves in icy water, and issued a challenge to all of the other Lakes Conference school student councils.
