Harland works for BBC Radio 1 as its “head of visualization." If that sounds like something of an oxymoron for a radio station, well, that’s sort of the point' ...

Dr. Pamela Rutledge's curator insight, January 28, 5:18 PM

Our brain is the original flight simulator.  Nothing is as powerful as the human brains' ability to visualize and imagine and fill in the storyworld of what we hear.  Years of storytellers have taken us on all kinds of journeys, from Lake Wobegon to War of the Worlds.  Very smart to hear that BBC Radio thinks of listeners as 'viewers.'

Jennifer M. Wood:  "While Hollywood insiders talk about which big-budget studio movies made and lost the most money in 2013, there’s a far more interesting number to consider: 3,000,000. Maree Lockie's curator insight, October 8, 2013 7:49 PM

Interesting short infographic illustrating how Hollywood is compensating for declining ticket sales (because of the rise of online piracy) through the use of social media and viral marketing. Our own Air NZ's Hobbit safety video even gets a mention!
