This infographic on Close Reading is designed for students and provides suggestions for students to follow: Look for Clues, Ask Questions, Make Your Case, and Prove It. . There is also a version available for teachers that has additional details. Both may be downloaded. No matter how good your content is, it will never go far without an appealing design and relevant fonts.

Human beings are emotional creatures. They react to much more than words. They read between the lines.

“Because fonts are designed by humans, there is usually some meaning attached to them,” says Mikael Cho. “You don’t want to choose a font that is easily associated with something in our culture that’s markedly different than the vibe you’re trying to give off.”

I love thought-provoking articles like this one. Cho did an excellent job describing the meaning behind fonts, how they can influence our emotions, and what you can do to design better content.
