If you are interested in what could be a good workflow and set of tools to use to curate content on your own WordPress blog, Nathan Weller has a must-read article for you.
In it, he dissects and explains the tools he uses to curate content on WordPress, from how he aggregates and browses RSS feeds, to how he filters, edits and actually curates the content of each post.
Interestingly his focus is on quality, not on having his site populated by lots of "somewhat relevant" content pulled in automatically by one of the many "content marketing"-oriented curation tools available today.
I think you will find several interesting ideas that you may have not considered on how to approach your curation workflow, let alone checking the several insightful comments at the end.
Lost of valuable information, resources, examples and advice. 8/10

Although this post discusses these sites in relationship to online learners I would suggest that any of whom use the Internet to do research will find a new resource or two that may be helpful. The seven sites discussed are: * StudyBlue.com * Omeka.com * Bamboo DiRT * World Digital Library * DigitalLiteracy.gov * GCFLearnFree.org * Processing.org You will find a short description about what each site provides as well as a link to the site.

Over the past two years, I've been working with my district to transition from the popular textbook towards Open Educational Resources, or OER. One of the leading benefits of OER options is that they are free and open to educators. That in itself is a reason to inquire. Making the transition to OERs can be quite daunting as it's not just a matter of accessing open content but repurposing it and digitizing your own to suit your students' needs. I find that using OERs in combination with cloud computing, mobile assisted seamless learning and field trips into virtual worlds, works well with my language students. However, what works within my teaching context may not be appropriate for yours. In my opinion, it's not just about introducing new technologies and pedagogies because they are trending, but doing a thorough analysis of what is needed within a specfic context before transforming your teaching practices, as these transformations will influence your students' learning environment and learning outcomes.

****I also want to point out that what she has done in this article is an excellent example of providing "context" and adding depth to what she's saying.
In this piece Beth talks about Transdisiplinarity which means literacy in and ability to understand concepts across multiple disciplines which you will notice, she has clearly demonstrated in this post.
